Web Site Mission

My main objective for the formation of this website is to introduce various classic movies to
people who have an interest in the historical background in the making of these film treasures.
The notes which I have included are just samples of the same ones which I have distributed in
various courses i’ve conducted through the years. The samplings include complete cast and
credits along with historical data and some criticisms that are prevalent in the overall
entertainment of each film, for those of you who have already seen the films or wish to buy or
rent them. Many of these notes I will be incorporating into a book on classic pictures, which
I have been working on through my learning experiences. As the site matures, there will be a
larger assortment of film notes available for your reading pleasure. From time to time, I will
be endorsing many books and dvds that are available through Amazon, which I consider
worthwhile. In the meantime, I am available to lecture on many facets of film history, including
the ‘pre-code’ era, classic Hollywood, classic movie directors ofthe ‘Golden Age’ as well as
many of the performers who appeared in movies during the 1920s through the late 1940s. I will
be accepting commissions to write film notes, as well as articles, sleeve notes for upcoming
video releases as well as audio commentary. If any of you have any input that you would
like to offer regarding the website, please feel free to contact me. I Hope you all enjoy the notes
